Procedures for Access to Information

The Assistant Secretary (5) is designated as the Access to Information Officer of the Secretariat, Commissioner on Interception of Communications and Surveillance (the Secretariat). He/she is responsible for ensuring that requests for access to information under the Code on Access to Information are properly dealt with in accordance with the specified procedures.

Written requests for information held by the Secretariat may be made by letter or application form obtainable from the Public Enquiry Service Centres of District Offices of the Home Affairs Department. Mail items bearing insufficient postage will not be delivered to the Secretariat and will be returned to the sender or disposed of by the Hongkong Post, where appropriate.
